The Cedar Falls high school boys and girls cross country teams hosted the Rich Engel Classic yesterday.
4A top-ranked Cedar Falls won the boys meet with 64 points. Cedar Rapids Kennedy finished second with 69 points.
Cedar Falls sophomore Jaden Merrick was individual champion with a time of 15 minutes, 46.8 seconds.
In the girls race, Dubuque Senior took first-place with 48 points, edging runner up Dubuque Hempstead. Cedar Falls finished third with 111 points.
Individually, Waterloo West’s Nakia Olliverre placed second.
