A Cedar Falls woman was seriously injured after authorities say she was attacked by her dog late Monday afternoon. Police, Fire Rescue, and paramedics responded to the 2900 block of Apollo Street around 5:10 p.m., where they learned the woman was attacked by her dog. Police say the woman was the owner and sustained serious injuries. She was taken by ambulance to the hospital and the dog was taken from the home by Black Hawk County Animal Control. No other details have been given about the attack or the extent of the injuries.
