The Cedar Falls City Council voted 4-2 Monday night to pass the third and final reading on an ordinance that would allow people to light off fireworks on July 3rd, 4th and 5th. The city had previously banned the use of fireworks, and the update would align them with what is currently allowed in Waterloo. Fireworks will only be allowed during specific hours on those dates: between noon and 11:00PM on the 4th and between noon and 10:00PM on the 3rd and 5th.
