Letter carriers in the Waterloo Cedar Falls area and across the nation are asking you to leave non-perishable canned food items out by the mailbox for pickup for the 31st annual National Association of Letter Carriers “Stamp out Hunger” Food Drive. Cedar Falls letter carrier Paymon Shahrivar talks about what residents can do.
Shahrivar says all donations will go to the Northeast Iowa Food Bank in Waterloo, and those donations will be helpful as food pantries will be running short as the spring season moves on and the summer season will be not far behind.
Shahrivar says letter carriers hope more will contribute to this year’s drive.
