Four people have died as a result of a one-vehicle rollover crash in Grundy County early Friday morning. The Iowa State Patrol said the crash happened just before 7:00AM on US Highway 20 westbound near the Wellsburg exit. The driver of a 15-passenger van lost control on the slick roadway. The van crashed into the median, and rolled over, coming to rest in the eastbound lanes. No identities of the victims have been released as yet and patrol officials say those who were injured have been taken to area hospitals in Waterloo and Grundy Center.
UPDATE 1/27/23: According to the Iowa State Patrol Facebook page, one adult and three kids under the age of 5 were killed. The state patrol says none of the occupants were using seatbelts or child restraint devices.
