Tonight in Metro high school football,
Waterloo Columbus Catholic hosts Class 1A top-ranked Grundy Center.
The Sailors enter tonight’s game 3-1, while the Spartans are 4-0. Both teams are off to 1-0 starts in 1A District-4.
The game features two of the area’s best quarterbacks in Columbus’ Carter Lockert and Grundy Center’s Colin Gordon. Lockert has thrown for 12 touchdowns and Gordon has seven.
Kickoff at McLaughlin Field is at 7:30.

5A 10th-ranked Cedar Falls hosts Linn-Mar. Both teams are 2-2 this season.
