The Iowa Legislature formally recognized the University of Northern Iowa sesquicentennial milestone in Des Moines Wednesday, with resolutions read in both chambers of the Capitol. House Resolution no. 112 and Senate Resolution no. 111 honors the university’s 150 years of service to the state of Iowa. The legislative recognition coincided with UNI Day at the Capitol, where each year students, faculty and staff come to Des Moines and showcase UNI’s impact across Iowa’s communities and economy.
