Cedar Falls School Board Approves Natatorium Phase II Project Plans

Board Can Now Take Bids For Project; Expect Pool Opening By March '25

Monday night, the Cedar Falls Board of Education approved the plans and specifications for phase II of the natatorium at the new high school.  That means the board can take bids on the various segments of the project and  construction can soon begin on the new pools, lighting, seating and more.  School Superintendent Dr. Andy Pattee says phase I of the project is nearly finished.

The total cost of the natatorium comes to around $21 million, and as Pattee says, is being paid for by many sources.

Monday night’s meeting was the final meeting for long-time Associate Superintendent Pam Ziegler, who is retiring after 13 years.
