Both Waterloo and Cedar Falls Schools See Initial Enrollment Boosts
Both Waterloo and Cedar Falls Schools have seen increases in their respective enrollments after the first few days of school. Officials in Waterloo say the district’s first day enrollment was 9,705. That was 40 more students over 2013. School started in Waterloo on August 19th. In Cedar Falls, it was 5,138 students as of last Friday. On the first day of school in Cedar Falls on August 14th, there were 5,126 students, an increase of 58 over last year. Officials say enrollment is expected to increase at Cedar Falls schools over the next few years. Both schools will take their official numbers on October 1st, to determine per-student aid to the district for next year.
