Farnsworth Murder Trial to Begin Soon
A Waterloo man’s murder trial will proceed later this month in Mason City after a judge denied the defense’s request for another delay. 23-year old James Farnsworth is accused in the stabbing death last April of Ian Decker of Mason City. Decker was stabbed outside a Mason City residence and died later at the hospital. Farnsworth’s trial is set to start January 14th at 9:00 in Cerro Gordo County District Court. Farnsworth is still free on a 200 thousand dollar cash bond. He has been allowed to live in Waterloo until the trial.
